Strategic hotel alliance. What is it about and how could it be good for me?

As indicated by the Smart Travel news portal, EuroFintech recently published the constitution as Economic Interest Group (AIE) of the first strategic alliance of Spanish hotel chains made up of Alma Hoteles, Castilla Termal, Fontecruz Hotels, One Shot, Room Mate Hotels and Único Hotels.

The constitution of this Alliance has materialized through the notarial deed of the agreement signed by Diego Ortega, CEO and founder of Fontecruz Hotels; Elena Marrero, general manager of Room Mate Hotels; Carlos Juliá, director of innovation at Único Hotels; Héctor Añón, director of operations of Alma Hotels; Juanma García, Sales & Revenue Manager of One Shot Hotels; and Roberto García, CEO and founder of Castilla Termal.

But what is this alliance about, what is it looking for in the hotel sector?

This is an alliance that has been pursued for several months, and whose purpose is nothing more than to achieve the internationalization of the hotel chains that are part, promote hotel assets outside the borders such as technology transfer, talent promotion, export of know-how how hotelier and the implantation of hotels in new international tourist destinations.

Fernando Gallardo, president of EuroFintech, underlines that “it is a pioneering alliance, since never before had such a significant group of hotel chains signed before a notary public a group with legal personality that has allowed them to share their internal technological map with a view to working in a consortium manner in future projects that today begin to be seen as essential for tourism after the pandemic, collaborative platforms derived from digital acceleration and the need to promote new tourism technology hubs in Spain, which will make this country not only a power worldwide in tourist arrivals, but also in the projection of knowledge, capital and entrepreneurship to other destinations with a global character ”.
