Recently the Hometogo company revealed to us which are the European destinations most sought after by American travelers (a relatively large market for Europe)
Since Europe announced the opening of its borders for American tourists there has been a significant increase in searches on google, “Europe opening its borders to American travelers, along with the official EU launch of its digital vaccine passport on 1 July, marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the travel industry after the COVID-19 pandemic, ”said Caroline Burns, HomeToGo’s director of public relations and travel expert. Caroline goes on to say that “in particular, 92% of the people surveyed in our recent Return of Travel study stated that they intend to travel the same or more internationally after receiving the vaccine, compared to the pre-pandemic.”
In this sense, according to the Hometogo study, the 10 most demanded cities for this summer are:
1.- Istanbul, with an increase in its searches of 232.28% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
2.-Dublin, with an increase in its searches of 219.05% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
3.-Athens, with an increase in its searches of 179.83% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
4.-Antalya, with an increase in its searches of 134.43% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
5.-Amsterdam, with an increase in its searches of 114.06% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
6.-Rome, with an increase in its searches of 99.22% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
7.-Galway, with an increase in searches of 84.34% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
8.- Barcelona, with an increase in searches of 83.01% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
9-Bodrum, with an increase in its searches of 73.33% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.
10.- Paris, with an increase in its searches of 8.34% in the month of June 2021 compared to the month of May 2021.

Most Popular European Island Destinations: many European beachfront island getaways have seen an increase in search volume for vacation rentals as international travel opens up . This includes Mykonos, Greece (+ 415%); Sardinia, Italy (+ 303%); Tenerife, Spain (+ 227%); Gozo, Malta (+ 152%) and Mallorca, Spain (+ 102%).
