1.- Isolate the host or worker and anyone who may have been near the infected person, and ensure the implementation of appropriate quarantine arrangements. Assess the possible need to close the hotel immediately based on applicable CDC and local health department guidelines or similar government mandates, as well as forward any necessary communication to other guests or staff regarding the individual’s potential exposure to infection.
2.- Hire a professional cleaner to disinfect the affected areas of the hotel and make sure the cleaner is familiar with and meets the guidelines or requirements of the CDC or other parties, including government health or safety agencies with jurisdiction over the hotel .
3. Consider collaborating with any government health or safety agency with jurisdiction over the hotel. Ask for their advice, safety / health requirements, and any financial or other assistance available.
4. To the extent you have not already done so, review your insurance policies and provide notices of claims. Also, review your loan and investor agreements and determine if steps are needed regarding your lender or other investors.
