How to avoid uncontrolled parties in your vacation home ?

After a year of confinement, the desire to spend a good vacation is on the surface, but in some cases this has been exceeded, to the point that parties have been formed that go against the regulations of tourist accommodation, which has directly affected the hosts.

Faced with this situation, the hosts have taken measures in the matter, including limiting or restricting reservations for very young people. The Airbnb company, for example, has launched a pilot test this Friday with new restrictions in its reservation policy to prevent irresponsible behavior and reduce unauthorized parties, according to a statement from the platform.

Whole room reservations made by some under 25s near their place of residence are restricted, following similar pilot policies in the United States and Canada, which have reduced unauthorized parties, in order to “protect local communities.”

The strategy consists of evaluating those guests who are under 25 years old, being that those who have less than 3 positive evaluations with the company, will not be able to reserve entire accommodation near their residence, but any accommodation outside their local area; But any guest under the age of 25 will be able to book private and hotel rooms via Airbnb, regardless of where they live.

As for younger guests with at least 3 positive reviews and none negative on Airbnb or who want to book long stays (at least 28 days), they will be able to book entire accommodations in their local area. The platform has found that only 0.03% of stays end with a “significant” claim to the Airbnb Host Guarantee.

Airbnb’s Director of Public Policy, Patrick Robinson, has defended enjoying the summer safely and that the vast majority of his guests on our platform are responsible, but has assured that they will “obstruct and eliminate anyone who intends to have irresponsible behavior. “

The Airbnb platform has also launched a summer safety campaign for hosts and guests in Spain, in order to promote safe and respectful travel during one of the most difficult and busy summer seasons after the pandemic.
