Balance of reservations and cancellations. Summer back on track
The Mirai Company has recently presented a report in which it shows us how the reservations and cancellations are in this week number 20. It indicates that the current reservation rate already reaches the number of reservations in 2019 and for the second week exceeds it widely ( + 25%). Bookings made continue to increase while cancellations are moderating. The analysis presented by the company only reflects the hotels direct online channel and that both variables, both online and direct, are evolving at a better rate than other channels, and therefore their normal fees are improving.

On the other hand, the analysis shows that the two months with the highest number of reservations are the months of June and August and this is shown in this graph:
In this graph we see how, since the end of April, the accumulated sales for stays in July and August are getting closer and closer to those we had in 2019, reaching -16.9% more than yesterday. If this rate of bookings is maintained over the next few weeks, July will be as good as in 2019 and August will be even better.

- There is a lot of last-minute activity for stays this May and June, with an acceptable cancellation.
- July and August with a good level of reservations made and almost normal cancellation (close to 20% for August).
- From September there will be fewer reservations, but also little cancellation.
