KeyNest offers a remote access solution, via key collection points. They currently have a network of more than 1200 lockers throughout Spain, located at different points in each city, where the guest, after making the reservation and arriving at their destination, can go to collect the key to the property at one of these points and access the accommodation autonomously, thus avoiding the owner having to travel to hand over the keys.

How does the Chekin + KeyNest integration work?
Here is a step-by-step explanation of the process that Chekin and Keynest go through:
- Online Check-in: The guest receives an email asking them to register online, sign the rental contract and validate their identity by taking a selfie and a photo of their ID or passport.
- Legality: In addition, Chekin stores the documentation of the guests as long as required by law, as well as generating and sending travelers’ reports to the authorities automatically.
- Online Payments: In the same email the guest is also allowed to pay the tourist tax, the reservation itself, deposit payment, etc.
- Self Check-in or Remote Access: Chekin verifies the guest’s identity through a biometric match, which compares a selfie of the guest taken in real time with an ID photo. Once it is verified that the identity is correct and it is the same person, the guest receives a second email with an explanation on how and where to pick up the keys.
