How does upselling work in Chekin?

It is a great honor to be able to show you how easy it is to set up Upselling in Chekin. In this article you will find all the detailed procedure about how Upselling works in Chekin. Step by step.

A new feature that allows any kind of tourist accommodation owners to offer personalized guest experiences at an extra cost. Resulting in higher profit margins per booking.

However, if you already know something about upselling, let’s get down to business. 

  1. First, log into your Chekin account (if you don’t have one, open one here. It’s very fast and you have 14 days free to test the tool). 
  1. Go to the ´Upselling section´ (top header menu between Bookings and Documents)
  1. Later, do click on the ‘Create Offer’ button and select between creating a personalized offer or one of the templates that we have prepared for you (Early check-in, Late check-out, Transportation, Pizza on arrival …)

Before creating a deal, we strongly recommend you to read the following post:

  1. Enter the general information of the offer. If you do not have registered supliers, we recommend that you register them first (suppliers tab in the menu on the left).
  1. Then, please select an image. You can upload it yourself or choose from the library that we have prepared for you. If you are going to add it yourself, we recommend you to choose it very well.

You can always see how your offer will look at online check-in in a mockup placed on the left:

  1. Remember always to includes availability data (time and duration of the offer and / or quantity). It is important to include these details because a well designed availability strategy can be key to the success of our offering.

  1. Select the properties where you want this offer to be available.
  1. Save it. This offer will be available to your guests in their online registration and we will provide you with a link so you will be able to send it to them how and when you want.
  1. You can see the status of the deals in the Booking details section.
  1. Check the status of your offers in case any need your approval:
