Today we’re talking about Positamy, a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in Positano, the beating heart of the beautiful Amalfi Coast. An activity born from the passion for hospitality of Valerio and his wife Tamara. Which as soon as the restrictions due to the pandemic were over, launched themselves into this new adventure. Choosing Chekin’s automatic and practical check-in online system for the registration of their guests!

Valerio, before opening last summer, asked himself how to make the arrival of his guests efficient and safe. He confessed to us what were the main reasons that made his choice falling on Chekin. First of all, safety: “Having opened Positamy in such a sensitive time it was, and still is, essential to provide my clients a contactless check-in that minimises the exchange of documents, in order to limit the possibility of contagion”.
In addition, Valerio tells us how guests perceive online check-in: “Chekin immediately impressed me with its user-friendly and clear functions. Guests like to save time and avoid queues, and completing the register online before arrival allows them to enjoy their holiday from the very first moment. I can see the happiness in the faces of those who, as soon as they arrive, are already in full possession of their room.”
Not only online check-in. The identity verification through biometric recognition allows an easy and fast registration process, without wasting time for guests and is also an additional guarantee for the host, who can control everything remotely. “It’s a feature that I really love”, comments Valerio.
G: “In Italy, it is compulsory to communicate travellers’ data to both the Alloggiati WEB portal and the regional statistics portal, a task that Chekin performs automatically. Valerio, how do you think the time saved by not having to worry about these bureaucratic procedures can be invested?”
V: “Time is the most precious resource of our century, making our work less tedious and more satisfying ensures that it always remains a passion. In the same way we can focus on what really brings value to our B&B: new ideas, how to renew ourselves and strategies to be more competitive”.
